  • Benefits: Like all raw honeys, Borage honey has antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties. Considered beneficial for respiratory infections, alleviating inflammation, and skin health. In medieval times, infusing Borage into warriors’ drinks was thought to promote courage before battle.

Tasting notes and tips: A beautifully pale honey, it has a delicate sweetness, with soft notes of lemon, and a supple finish. Wonderful with teas and infusions, and to sweeten home-made traditional lemonade. Would also work with natural yogurt and fresh soft cheeses.

Provenance: Also known as Starflower, Borage is a small blue flower, flowering in June – September, it’s rich in nectar and loved by bees. Our Borage honey comes from Essex, southeast England.
